Match-Maker Service
What is the Match-Maker Service?
The Match-Maker service provides a means to connect BPC grantees to people who need
their services or resources and vice versa. It is also a place where people who are
writing research proposals or other social impact efforts might come to find partners
for the required broader impact part of their proposal. Proposals requires it, but
many people don't know what to do or how to find an effective partner. Match-Maker can help!
Within this service, we refer to a BPC Project as the Project Resource, and any individual activity, workshop or service associated with a project as a separate Match-Maker Profile. A single Project Resource may have many Match-Maker Profiles. You may browse a list of all existing Match-Maker Profiles, search the Match-Maker Profiles for your specific needs, or create and link a Match-Maker Profile with your Project Resource.
Are you writing a computing research grant to NSF or other government agency
that has a "broader impact" criterion?
Use the Match-Maker service
to find a partner with expertise in broadening participation in computing. Search
for groups needing specific resources, such as: classroom access and support, curricula,
assessment, diversity events, K-12 partnerships, mentoring, new pedagogies, research experiences, workshops, etc.
Or search over specific interventions associated with improving diversity: active learning, after school programs, bridge programs, clubs, collaborative learning, community building, community service, conferences or workshops, courses or curriculum, dissemination, educational games, educational technology, internships, mentoring, pair programming, recruitment, research experiences, retention, role model speaker, service learning or work-life balance.
